Hi, Karen, I have just watched your video and have seen your website for the first time. Talk about exciting! I had no idea that you were going to and fro to Africa. What a wonderful ministry God has called you to.
Not sure if you remember me but we were best friends in LPN training school. Since then I have also been to Africa as my husband Jeff was a missionary pilot there. We spent four years in Tanzania and two in Kenya. While in Kenya we adopted two orphans. My heart is so burdened for widows and orphans so I can really relate to all you are doing and would like to somehow be a part of that. At this point I can mostly pray as Jeff is the Director of Prairie School of Mission Avaition and so we live here in Three Hills Alberta. I hope to be able to chat with you sometime in the near future or better yet come to Kelowna to visit you all. May God bless you in all you do.
Hey Marti!!!!!! Of course I remember you, and will forever. I started travelling the nations since 1999. First to Mexico several times with Dave, then to Sri Lanka, India, and Ethiopia. When I landed in Liberia, I had no idea, I would get this involved. I saw the need, and knew I had to try to help. Today, I am a full time volunteer, and I love it!
For sure we will stay in touch, and work out a plan to meet, sooner than later. That would be so cool!!
Dear Provision Of Hope,
I was once sponsored by your program in Africa. My twin currently lives at the ‘My Father’s House’ in Liberia. When the ACFI mission, the Children Concern Home ( OUR HOUSE), and Be Still Empowerment Program could no longer continue their program in Liberia, Provision of hope took in over 20 young men to add to their program. I was included with those young men. With the rising unemployment in Liberia the provision of hope small loans are of greater help to the Liberian people. After my graduation from high school in 2008, provision of hope help me get ready for college and with a micro-load to make myself a productive young African. Unfortunately, the business did not go well for me. However, I did learn a lot from it and was glad i made an attempt to make a business. God has been using this ministry to help thousands of people out there.
I am in prayers with your work! Please let me know how i can make a monthly donation to your program!
Blessings!
