Mother Dapae Academic Foundation School has just opened in Maryland County in August 2023!
Dapae and Rita are seeing their vision come to pass. Presently, this is a school for Preschool to Grade 3. Their vision is to include Gr. 12 as they progress. This is a Christian School teaching Biblical Principles. “ Building The Future Generations” is their motto. Provision of Hope has decided to partner with this school.

Dapae built this school very close to their Children’s Home. They already had the foundation and part walls built before showing Provision of Hope what they had accomplished all on their own. We were very surprised! This was done through their own efforts and micro loans given by Provision of Hope. Later Provision of Hope helped them to put a roof on the school. This is where they lived while they were renovating their home.

DAPAE AND RITA have a very touching story of how they escaped from Liberia in 2003 during the last civil war.
Dapae was severely beaten by the rebel army and taken hostage. At that time he worked for the UN as security. He was left in a car and somehow managed to escape! Fortunately, he was able to find his wife Rita and their little girl Felecia as they fled the country to seek asylum in Ghana. It is a miracle that Dapae was not killed like so many others trying to flee.
In 2008, Frank Doiron met with Karen Barkman to ask how he could get involved in the work they were doing in Africa. That was the day God inspired Frank to assist Dapae and Rita in the Buduburam Refugee Camp where they were living since 2003. This was the exact time they were hoping to resettle back to Liberia. Frank and Linda Doiron have been very instrumental in supporting Dapae and Rita financially and spiritually right up to this present day. This made it possible for them to resettle back to Liberia in 2008.
In 2011, Frank felt led to fundraise to build a new home for Dapae and Rita. Provision of Hope approved of this and together they made plans for a new home. They started off with 8 children and soon grew to 10. Today they care for 14 children. Dapae is the senior pastor in their church and Rita is the leader of prayer ministry. They also run a widow program through their church which is funded by Provision of Hope.
Provision of Hope is grateful for all our donors who sponsor children in this home and those who have helped to build then renovate this home. Others have donated for their micro loans. This is definitely team work!
