Widows

Our Widows Program is one of the most rewarding initiatives in Liberia.

At Provision of Hope, we operate Widow Rice Distribution Centers in four communities, supporting over 300 registered widows with bags of rice. When you bless a widow with a bag of rice, you bring immense gratitude to each woman. Additionally, we include oil, vita cubes, and soap, while also offering assistance with medical needs and supplying beds and mattresses to those who sleep on the floor.

These resilient women have endured profound hardships, and have witnessed the loss of loved ones. Many have lost husbands to war or illness, taking on the responsibility of caring for their children as well as those of young single girls who are unable to do so themselves due to their youth.
