The collaboration between Provision of Hope and Voice in the Wilderness has been instrumental in supporting the Hidden Manna Children’s Ministry. This partnership has made a tremendous difference in the lives of children and their parents, particularly mothers, in the squatters’ village of Buenos Aires. Steven and Theresa Frey are serving as missionaries with Voice in the Wilderness Ministries in Cd. Valles, Mexico. Karen & David Barkman have been on mission trips with Steven ( Karen’s cousin) and have met Cristina and Javier, the national pastors of this work in Cd. Valles and surrounding areas.

Cristina has been dedicated to nurturing, educating, and caring for the poor and underprivileged children in the Buenos Aires area. Cristina says ”Our little “flock” has grown, and now many mothers are benefiting from the program as well.” The program offers nutritious meals alongside spiritual training and teaching. As a result of the children’s programs, independent youth and adult churches sparked growth and are flourishing at the facilities. Both Pastor Javier and his wife Cristina devote their lives to serving the poor and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ among indigenous communities.

Vision and Purpose

Our Vision and Purpose in Mexico is mainly focused on “Children at Risk” and how we can help with tools to empower mothers and whole families to sustain themselves.
