Walk a Mile in My Shoes

“WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES”  was a great success!   Thank you to everyone for your generous contributions and support in this event.  Steinbach, Manitoba I love your community spirit, and compassionate heart to reach out to others in need.   All donations will go towards the education of orphan and disadvantaged children and youth, in Liberia, West Africa.       For many in this nation going to school is only a dream.  We will put as many students to school as possible again this year.  We had approx. 70 walkers and raised over 12,500.  We are leaving this open if anyone still wishes to donate towards School for Orphans  you still have time.

Our top fundraiser award went to Owen Wiebe and his brother Colton.  They raised 1,395.00.  Thanks to their mom Char Wiebe who helped them.  They won the “Liberian Handshake” carving.

Owen and Colton have just sponsored two refugee boys to school in the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana.  Their mothers fled from Liberia in the midst of the war.

Georgia Jowett sponsors Esther David.  This orphan girl was rescued from a very poor situation, and today she is so happy to be in school and in a family that cares for her.  Thank you Ben + Jenn Jowett for your faithful support.  You have transformed her life!
