Widows are Shopping for Glasses
HOW EXCITING FOR OUR WIDOWS to be able to SEE with clearer vision. They are “so” happy!
First they had their eyes tested to see which prescription they needed …. then for the shopping!!!
These glasses were all donated by a group of friends in Texas. Thank you Elaine Caudle.
Some were slightly BIGGER than others. “Do these look GOOD?”
Our widows are such grateful people. They gather twice a month for fellowship + bags of rice.
We have over 200 widows on our program. One distribution center is in New Matadi, at our Discipleship Training Center and the other one is in Maryland where Dapae and Rita live. They are Hope Home parents of 11 children.
Our boys in our home help to distribute the rice. They are so helpful. It is so rewarding to bless our widows.

Hi Friend!
I think collecting glasses from people who are no longer using them is a great idea. Perhaps this is something that we could do in our church or school? Could you use more??

Yes, this works well. First we get their eyes tested, so we know what they need. Sure, we would take more.

Hello Karen,
Like the blind man in the 9th chapter, who was blind from birth. Jesus comes into his life and he nows sees. Sight, vision are so important!!!
Having worn glasses for most of my life, I am so dependent on them. Without them I am blind as a bat.
Thanks Karen for bringing a clearer vision to the widows!!!
