With a very broken heart, I am writing this tribute in honor of our dear friend Layna who was tragically killed in a multi-vehicle accident, along with her twin son Dominic. This just happened this past Tuesday! Her other twin son is fighting for his life in the Vancouver Children’s Hospital with his dad, Layna’s parents and sister by his side. We are believing for a Miracle Healing for Tristan and that he will completely recover! Please join us in prayer!
Layna has touched the hearts of so many people in Liberia, West Africa. On behalf of all her friends in Liberia, we want to express our deep, deep gratitude for all her kindness and love she’s given.
“Layna left a footprint on my heart” ” Layna was so very kind” ” I will remember Layna forever and ever” ” She was my sister and friend” ” Layna cared for us” These are just some of the words I am hearing from our friends in Liberia. They are all in shock! Grieving her loss.
Our 2010 trip to Liberia and the refugee camp in Ghana is one I will treasure for ever!
Layna has volunteered for Provision of Hope and to this day Layna and the Brown Family still sponsor children in need in this nation.
Layna loved and cared so deeply! Layna knew just how to bring Hope and Comfort to the suffering! Her heart was so full of compassion.
Layna you will live on in our hearts forever and oh how we will miss you!
Thank you for giving so freely and making a difference for others. We look forward to the day we will meet again!
Layna won the heart of every child.
Always holding babies!
Always surrounded with kids.
Eating fufu and potato greens with the kids.
Loved our young people! Became a sister to everyone!
Gowned and Crowned in Ghana! So many fun moments with Layna on this trip!
Layna with her Liberian sister on the refugee camp in Ghana. The Brown Family has sponsored Bernice since 2010. They have been a huge blessing to her and her children!
Layna is sharing her water with little Brigette on the camp. Brigette is Bernice’s daughter. She’s in Gr. 12 now thanks to the Brown Family who have funded her to school all these years. The Brown family helped Bernice, a single mom resettle back to Liberia. I love how they included her in their family!
