Widows are Overjoyed for their New Boots and Lapas!

Our widows in Matadi were thrilled to get a good pair of rain boots! These were given to the ones who live in wet areas. Liberia has a long rainy season from mid-April to mid-November. Many widows had been struggling with foot fungus due to the damp conditions, so providing them with rainboots was essential. They were so incredibly grateful!

We also bought lapas for the widows at Easter, and they were so excited to receive a new one. This little gift made their day! We were able to buy three for just $10 USD. What a great idea from Daniel Coleman! He does a fantastic job organizing all the widow groups, with the leaders of each group reporting directly to him.

Stunning lapas!!

Gathering twice a month is so encouraging for the widows. They have a wonderful time worshipping and praying together. If they have a need, they can let Daniel know, and he can put in a request for them. We are hoping to provide them with first aid drugs again, as many of them don’t even have Tylenol to ease their arthritic pain.

What a joy it is to bless our widows!

LIBERIA NEEDS BIBLES

Nothing brings me more joy than giving out Bibles! I know what the Word of God does for me, and I want others to experience the same God encounters that I have experienced while reading my Bible. “The Bible is my source of strength. It is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 It gives me hope and comfort. I get to know God, His character, and His Ways. The Word of Godis alive.
