From the Field, An Unforgettable Trip – Part One

We had a very full two weeks in Liberia! This was the most rewarding trip ever! Our dedicated staff are doing such a good job. I came home very satisfied with how our work is going.

Over the next few weeks you will receive highlights from our trip:

  • We visited our Hope Homes.
  • Our conference was well attended with 150 pastors and leaders.
  • We launched a Ministry School with enthusiastic participants.
  • We had a wonderful time with some of our widow groups.
  • We had a meaningful time of fellowship at Christ Centered Renewal Connecting Church with Pastor Emmanuel and Angela Davis. We visited their home after church.
  • We partnered with the Find Myself Initiative Program for Girls, led by our Youth Counsellor, Darlyn Richards
  • We went to YWAM twice.
  • We visited the Temas Orphanage, bringing blankets and mosquito nets, and were encouraged to see all their new mattresses and pillows. We also agreed to help provide fans and assist with repairs to their well.
  • We visited our Farm and saw great improvement with it.
Let’s begin by highlighting three of our Hope Homes. Although we hope to visit Dapae’s home in Maryland one day, we were grateful that he traveled from Maryland to visit us and attend our conference.

At Otis and Benetta’s Home they made new dresses and shirts for everyone.  Thank you Benetta. You were very busy.  She also baked 2 special cakes for us.

New Clothes for everyone

New Clothes for everyone!

We were warmly welcomed at each home. The children had a great program for us with singing, drama, speeches of appreciation, and memorized Bible Verses. Each Hope home parent is doing a superb job of raising their children.  We were so happy to see the beautiful smiles on each of their faces and the good reports. We had delicious food at each home. They go above and beyond to make us feel so special!
