Young Mother Crying out for Help

A young mother of 3 came crying to Pastor Malcolm this past week, desperate for help. Mom Helena is grieving the loss of her husband, who died 3 months ago. She came in desperation, letting Malcolm know they had almost no food in the house. Her 12-year-old son, Justin, needed funds for school. He is in Grade 5 with a balance of $55 USD to finish his year. All this was too overwhelming for her to handle.

Provision of Hope released money for food and for Justin’s school fees. Anointed and Amanda are her younger children, who are not in school yet.

Pastor Malcolm was able to purchase food for this family. He got two bags of rice, 1 gallon of vegetable oil, 4 packs of oats, two packs of cream of wheat, a pack of Maggie cubes, and 35 USD for fresh soup ingredients. They were so grateful! This was an answer to their prayers, “God provides”.

We asked Helena what she could do to help her family with food. She said she would like to do an out-of-town business, buying things from Monrovia to sell in Cape Mount. 300 USD would be enough for her to get started with this small business.

Helena has a strong faith in God and keeps holding on to Hope. We believe we can help her start her business. We always look for ways we can empower people to support their families rather than create a dependency on us. Helena has experience with sales and has the motivation to grow a successful business.

Thank God for Pastor Malcolm and his wife, Kula, who reach out to those in their community who need help. This has brought so much hope and comfort to this little family.

It’s our kind and generous donors who provide the funds to make all this happen. We keep reaching out to many single moms and widows because of your giving. Praise God for you!
