Widows Sing for Joy!

This month, we were once again able to provide pharmaceutical medications to our widows in Matadi. A total of 170 widows attended this gathering. What a joy it was to hear them shouting praises to the Lord for supplying their needs! They are so grateful.

We distributed medications such as Tylenol, Prednisolone, Dexamethasone, and Diclofenac, drugs that help relieve arthritic pain, headaches, and other ailments. Many of these women cope with significant pain daily, yet have little or no access to medication. We are especially grateful to Joseph Sackie, who faithfully administers the medications and carefully instructs the widows on how to take them properly. Our widows also receive worm medication every 6 months.

In July, we will begin supplying rice regularly to our newest widow group in Bomi County. The need there is tremendous. Liberia has a large population of widows due to the lingering effects of the civil wars of the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as the 2014–2016 Ebola crisis. Thousands of women lost their husbands during these difficult times. Click Here to see the new widow group in Bomi County.

Provision of Hope continues to deliver food packages to widows such as Ma Jenneh, who is raising her grandsons after losing her daughter to cancer.

Our mission remains the same: to care for widows and orphans in their distress, just as James 1:27 instructs us.

Thank you for your prayers and faithful financial support. Your partnership is making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
