Outreach to Bomi County

Daniel Coleman, our Director of Mercy Ministry, recently made a return visit to his birthplace in Bomi County, a place he cherishes and visits whenever he can. On each trip, he personally delivers used clothing, slippers, and rice to the community. They know him by name and are always happy when he visits.

In the recent visit, Provision of Hope supported Daniel’s efforts with a small contribution, helping provide flip-flops and used clothing. He’s also brought some treats, such as popcorn, candy, and balloon bags for the children! No wonder the children come running to him when he arrives. The same excitement follows him whenever he visits our Children’s Homes. Daniel is deeply loved and appreciated wherever he goes.

The children couldn’t wait to see what was inside!

Daniel visited the orphanage, bringing Bibles for some of the older children. They were overjoyed to receive a Bible of their very own.

Daniel also handed out slippers and clothing to the underprivileged children outside the village, bringing smiles to many faces.

“So the Bibles, Clothes bag, and bulk of the slippers were taken to the orphanage. The rest I shared with kids outside the orphanage, but reside in the village. It is so sooo easy to detect who really is in need. When you see a child wearing mismatched slippers, you can tell he is in need. When you see a child wearing a torn-up shirt, you can easily see that the child is in need.”, Daniel Coleman said after his visit.

Daniel, having grown up in an orphanage himself, carries a deep compassion for children who are orphaned or abandoned. His life is a powerful example of paying it forward. Daniel also delivered a food package to Ma Hawa, a poor widow we previously supported with a room renovation and a new bed.

For Daniel, these moments are more than just visits; they’re a way of giving back. For the children and families, they are moments of joy and hope. Thank you for your prayers and support!
