Reaching out to the Blind

On the streets of Monrovia, you will see the blind begging for food.  Their children lead them.  They will go to the windows of cars, hoping someone will show pity on them. They are hungry and desperate.

For sometime now, Daniel Coleman, our Director for Mercy Ministry has been asking if we could please do something to help the blind and their children.  Could we bring them rice and soup mix? Could we help their children get to school?  On October the 4th we took a leap of faith, and started our first outreach to the blind and their families.  They were so grateful! They were so touched!

” I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me…. whatever you did for one of the least of these … you did it for Me … words of Jesus
