Poor Widow Needs Help

Daniel Coleman our Director for Mercy Ministry came back from Bomi Hill asking if we could please help another desperate widow? ” Her needs are many!”

Ma Hawa is a frail little widow who lives in a mud plastered home.  There are many open spaces in her walls.  When it rains her roof leaks and everything gets wet.  She has no door.  No food. Her children have abandoned her. She looks so hopeless.

Provision of Hope plans to recondition her house with new mud plaster. We will add a porch for her to cook on and not in her room.  Purchase ten sheets of zinc for $ 50, for a new roof to keep her dry.  A new door $ 25 to protect her.  A quality mattress $ 120.  Sheets and a comforter $ 35  Pillows and cases $ 10.  A mosquito net $ 5.  Flooring $ 20  We can do all this including workmanship and transporting the materials for only $ 485!  This will CHANGE HER LIFE!!

Ma Hawa needs a new mattress. Her foam is full of mildew and it's very old. She needs flooring.

Ma Hawa was so happy she started laughing! This reminded me of Job 29:13 "I helped those without hope, and they blessed me. And I caused the widows’ hearts to sing for joy."

Outreach to Bomi County

Daniel Coleman, our Director of Mercy Ministry, recently made a return visit to his birthplace in Bomi County, a place he cherishes and visits whenever he can. On each trip, he personally delivers used clothing, slippers, and rice to the community. They know him by name and are always happy when he visits. In the recent visit, Provision of Hope supported Daniel’s efforts with a small contribution, helping provide flip-flops and used clothing. He’s also brought some treats, such as popcorn,
