Provision of Hope continues to conduct workshops in rural farming communities of Liberia. Kelvin Taweh and Joseph Sackie are the trainers who took the Organic Agriculture Training in Kenya with Thrive for Good.

We met with Farmer 2 Farmer Country Director Patrick Yattoh. This visit was very informative giving us a good overview of the better farming communities through out Liberia.

Organic Agriculture Training for 21 Farmers in Kakata. They have so much land but were lacking tools and seeds.

Workshop Day 3 teaching farmers how to prepare the soil. They learn how to compost, how to rotate crops, how to add nutrients. Later they learn how to plant seeds. Some seedlings need the shelter of a nursery. So they built nurseries.

MORINGA - THE MIRACLE TREE

All over Liberia we are holding workshops on the benefits of moringa and how to grow it. Moringa leaves and pods are a nutritional powerhouse that provides a great range of essential proteins, vitamins, and minerals. It is a rich source of essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins. It also contains a significant amount of vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B6, folate, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Its mineral wealth includes calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. It contains a very low amount of fats and offers no harmful cholesterol. Moringa is beneficial in treating edema, protecting the liver, treating stomach disorders, Skin Care & Hair Care, acts as an antibacterial agent, fights cancer, improves bone health, acts as an antibacterial agent, treats diabetes, treats asthma, reduces hypertension, improves eye health, boosts immunity, Protects Cardiovascular System and the list goes on. This is why it is called THE MIRACLE TREE!
