A Christmas Gift for A Family in Need

Just a few days ago the Garbleh Family lost their little girl Rachel. She died on the way to the hospital. They are all so broken. They are a very poor family in Liberia. They struggle for food and fees for their children to go to school. Their house needs serious repairs. They have areas in their roof where they can see the clouds. A few sheets of zinc and some wood could stop the leaks. The cost for repairs just to keep them dry is estimated at $ 400.

They know how to bake bread. They would really benefit with an outdoor oven made with bricks. This larger oven could bake quantities of bread for market. The cost of this type of oven is approximately $ 500.

Any help at all would bring so much hope to this family!

If only something more could have been done to save Rachel’s life. She was taken to ELWA hospital where she was treated and given medication. Saturday was such a sad day!
This is a photo of an outdoor oven similar to the one they would like to build. Others do very well with this type of business.
Our prayers are with the Garbleh Family during this sorrowful time. It is so hard to lose a little child.
This is the house they are living in. We are planning to patch up the holes to keep them dry and free from rats and snakes.
