Refugees Pleading to Go Home

Provision of Hope continues to help refugees in the Buduburam Refugee Camp. They are asking for assistance to go back to Liberia.

Our next group of refugees we will be assisting to go back home is Ruth, along with her daughter and sister Cecelia who has a small baby.  Cecelia has been in this camp for 30 years! She has suffered much! They fled from the war in Liberia to seek asylum in Ghana. Cecelia watched her brother die in this camp.  Her story is very sad.

In the camp they did whatever they could do just to survive.  They would braid hair or do laundry for others.  Ruth and her daughter Gifty know how to bake.  Once they get back to Liberia by bus, they have a room with relatives.  Their bus tickets are 250 US per person. Their luggage will cost 200 US per person.  When they get to Liberia they will come with very little. Liberia will be much better for them, than this deplorable camp!  We are so happy to help them home!! Please pray for them as they go! The bus ride is not easy and adjusting back to Liberia will take time too. God goes before them to open up the way!!

Ruth is holding her niece. They are all looking forward to a better life in Liberia!

Outreach to Bomi County

Daniel Coleman, our Director of Mercy Ministry, recently made a return visit to his birthplace in Bomi County, a place he cherishes and visits whenever he can. On each trip, he personally delivers used clothing, slippers, and rice to the community. They know him by name and are always happy when he visits. In the recent visit, Provision of Hope supported Daniel’s efforts with a small contribution, helping provide flip-flops and used clothing. He’s also brought some treats, such as popcorn,
