Christiana Lemu Davis is coming to Canada!!! God has answered our prayers!!
We are all so excited that Christiana got a Canadian visa, and can join her biological mother Felecia (Davies) Wiebe and her family in Steinbach, MB. We tried to bring Christiana here in 2017 on a student visa but her visa was denied. We were so disappointed! We kept saying, “One day in God’s Time you will come!” Praise God, on July 7th Christiana will leave Ghana for Canada!! Please pray for her protection, peace for the journey and for the finances to come in for her flight, and hotel stay when she arrives in Vancouver.
I first met Christiana, known to me as Lemu, in 2008. I knew about her in 2007, when we first brought Felecia, her mom, from the Buduburam Refugee Camp, to come live with us. I knew the next trip to Liberia, my top priority would be to meet this precious girl that God put in my heart. The night I heard God say ” Christiana is mine!!!” was the night I felt like God literally placed her IN MY HEART TOO! It was supernatural!
Christiana flew to Ghana in March 2020 to start the process for her visa application to Canada. FINALLY that day has arrived!!!
I will never forget that day in 2008, when Lemu ran ahead of everyone, to meet me first. She ran into my arms, and we hugged! I felt like I had always known her!! We have been so close ever since!!
Every trip to Liberia, Lemu would spend days with me and I would take her out for ice cream! Those were precious times!
I met Felecia, Christiana’s mother, on my first trip in to Liberia in 2003! Felecia knew from that point on that I would become her Canadian Mother and care for her. She was right!!
This photo was taken at the African Women for Jesus Conference in Liberia in January 2020. It was so good to have Christiana there with us!! Mae Clowe was my traveling companion. This was such an enriching time for all of us!
In Ghana Christiana has been studying Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Assistant. She will get her certificate for this course at the end of June. We are proud of you Christiana for your achievement!
Lemu always comes to spend time with me at our Apartment when I come to Liberia. I call her ” the apple of my eye” Every night before we go to bed, she sings for me… and then she prays!! I am getting shivers right now just thinking about those times!! Heaven comes down and fills our room!”
Even Grandma came to meet me, along with Christiana Young, who is Felecia’s older sister. She was the one who was raising Christiana. She was 7 yrs old when I met her in person. What a memorable day!!!
In 2019 Christiana Graduated! Since we met her she was on our educational scholarship program. She always took her studies seriously. Her dream is to become a nurse and a missionary!
We brought Felecia to Canada in 2007. We were living in Steinbach, MB where she came to live with us. What a new culture! It took a lot of courage to face all the challenges that lay before her. Though it was hard, Felecia did so well! God was with her each step of the way!
Christiana can hardly wait to join her family in Canada!!! Kevin, her dad, came with us to Liberia in 2018! At first sight, he too had a God experience ” Christiana is mine!!” God was in that moment at the airport. That trip Christiana knew she had a dad who cared for her!! Felecia and her family are overjoyed to know that Christiana will soon be HOME!!
Christiana has a strong faith in God. So many times when I was with her, I felt like an angel was spending the night with me. Often I was so exhausted from the day’s journey but when she would sing in our bed, just before going to sleep, the peace and love of God would wash over me, and ALL MY TIREDNESS WAS GONE!! I can hardly wait to have Lemu in my arms in Canada!! This is a LONG AWAITED DAY!!!
