Refugees need help to resettle in Liberia

Gifty and her mother Ruth are needing help to resettle in Liberia!

Gifty and her mother arrived in Liberia in July 2022. They came from the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana where they spent 25 yrs.  Ruth lost her husband before fleeing to Ghana as a single parent with her baby Gifty. Life has not been easy for them on the camp.  Nor has it been easy moving from place to place in Liberia.  On October 4th Gifty connected with me on Facebook Messenger.  Mom thank you so much for paying our transportation from Ghana to Liberia, we really appreciate you.”  Click here to see their previous blog post Refugees Pleading to Go Home

When Gifty let me know how difficult it has been for them in Liberia,  I felt moved to help them. Daniel Coleman paid them a visit yesterday to assess their situation. They are living with 11 other people in a small place.  It is very crowded. We let them know that we will help them to find their own place. We encouraged them to start looking for a place for $ 35 per month.  $ 420 per year. This way, going forward they can afford their own rent.  Pray that they can soon find a place.  They will need a family size mattress, sheets, pillows and other household basics.  They know how to bake cakes so hopefully in time we can get them an oven and they can start to bring in their own income to sustain themselves.

Gifty’s message to me today was We are so much happy , thanks for putting joy in our hearts!!”

Thank you to all our donors who help us bring hope to so many who are desperate!
